Does it ever feel like even though you have the best bf in the world, the greatest friends, and everything seems to be ok on the surface, something isn't right?
I was lucky enough it qualify for this great opportunity. I would have never gotten back to school without it, but I'm so stressed out about life in general that it's starting to take it's toll on me. I can't afford to go to school and not work. But I'm not getting the time I need to study be cause I'm at work. I have absolute respect for people who do this with kids cause I wouldn't be able to do both I know I wouldn't.
And I know people are proud of me for having the courage to go back, and I appreciate it more than all of you know, but at the end of the day that doesn't help me pay my bills. The stress of not being able to balance work and school means the gym and planning my meals properly has gone right out the window and low and behold the weight is starting to creep up again and the vicious little circle comes into play, I get depressed and I eat like shit. And then I feel like shit afterwards.
I know in the end it will all be worth it but I first have to make it to the end. And if push comes to shove I know I'd have to give up school before I gave up my job and even the thought of that breaks my heart.
I love John Lennon but someone should have told him that you need more than love to get by

5KM version 2.0
Today I completed my second 5km. At work we have a yearly race called the Freedom Run, its to raise money for Diabetes research. Its only in its second year so there isn't a big turnout yet but every little bit helps and hopefully it gets a little bigger every year!

I found this one a little harder than the one in June. Mainly cause I haven't been in the gym in weeks so my legs we're really up for it but I got through it and I felt fantastic afterwards.

When I got home I got to spend a little bit of time with my momma and Arnold who stayed with me Saturday night. I always love it when they come to visit, theres nothing better than a good momma hug!!!
So I said my goodbyes to them and grabbed a quick shower and then bf and I went out for our normal Sunday morning date. Its usually breaky but because of the race it turned into lunch. After lunch was shopping. Have I ever mentioned that I have the worlds best boyfriend.

He bought me a printer as a back to school gift and even though I offered (and wanted and expected) to pay for half cause this is by no means a cheap printer he wouldn't let me. And he bought me a new lamp for the living room cause my old one was broken and it was being stupid. LOL

when we got home and got everything all set up, he gave me a foot rub for my very sore and tender tootsies... I got me such a good man.
I got a haircut yesterday. I re-cut my bangs. It looks good but I forgot how much maintenance they can be hehe especially when you have curly hair. Oh mys we'll see how this goes.
well I should get back to my homework. School is going really well and its easily the best decision I've made in a long long time!

Oh Igor... You're a mean little bugger
So I know I haven't blogged in a while. I've been so caught up in school and work and trying to balance both that I've neglected most everything else. I'm trying to fit everything back in... slowly but surly I will learn how to balance everything!
Hurricane Igor made his presence known yesterday, and the aftermath is still being felt today. There is severe damage all over the island and my prayers are with all of those who are still without power, still flooded, and still disconnected from the rest of the island.
I'll leave you now with a few pics of whats been left behind and Hope everyone stays warm, dry and safe tonight!!

The Following two pics I stole from Twitter. One is somewhere in the City and the other is the hole in the Trans Canada Highway in Terra Nova National Park. All the rest are pictures that I had taken during the day.

Its like riding a bike...
School started this week and apparently its like riding a bike. Its something you never forget.
The first night home was kinda stressful. At school all day, then to work and that didn't go too smoothly so I didn't get home till 830 ish. The BF was at the house when i got home cause I was so stressed about how I was gonna fit it all in, school, work, bf, gym and all that fun stuff. So i had a bit of a breakdown but I think I'm starting to get it all figured out.
The second and third day are going a lot better. I really like lots of my classes and although some of my instructors are like little nazi's i know its gonna be for my benefit in the end.
My communications class seems great. A lot of work but wonderful. I get to write a term paper on anything I want. There are lots of ideas running through my head on what to write... now I just need to decide. I also have to do an in-class demo where i have to teach everyone else how to do something. I haven't gotten to do this since I was teaching cadets so I'm gonna go right back to the source for this one and teach something i taught way back when. Math is going to take a little getting used to but I still remember how to do long division so that's always fun. Business and accounting are just really interesting to me right now. The only two classes I think I might be bored in is my computer fundamentals and document production classes. I know the basic uses of a computer and I know how to type I'm just hoping there will be some little tips that i can learn along the way and if nothing else these are a couple of courses that I can use to help my GPA
Overall I'm super happy that everything worked out the way it did. I feel confident in the work I'm going to be able to do and my boss and I have worked on a schedule so that I'm not there all the time and I have time to do my homework.
Its crazy to think that this is finally real but I'm so so happy.

What Inspires You
In less than a week I'm about to start one of the biggest challenges of my life. Going back to school.
now I've been through this a few times before when I was in Alberta but I think I was a little too unfocused to really appreciate the opportunity I had. I have memories that will last a lifetime, and student loans that feel the same way lol
However in 5 sleeps I get another chance. Through all the drama of this past year I'm getting a wonderful opportunity to get an education. I feel like I'm sacrificing a lot, dealing with the devil almost for the next two years. any by devil I mean provincial government. lol
yes they are paying my tuition, books and living allowance (if you can call it that) but in return I pretty much have no means to enjoy myself the way I'm used to till I'm done school. I though things were tight with my EI but I'm in for a whole new rude awakening. if it doesn't kill me it only makes me stronger right??
I try to keep thinking about what good will come out of the next few years, and I find inspiration in the oddest places. It all kinda started when my wonderfully dear friend Leslie made me a motivation board. It hangs proudly on my wall and it keeps me focused on the fit aspect of my life. But sometimes your soul needs a kick in the pants too.
So I've been expanding on the original Motivation Board. Little quotes that I find I save and add them to the wall. Here's what I've found so far.
No one rises to low expectations, aim for the moon and enjoy the ride - Bear Grylls
Its not how hard you hit, but how hard you can get hit that makes the difference in life - Jeremy Pivin
When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on! Franklin D Roosevelt
If things seems under control, you're just not going fast enough - Mario Andretti
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to not stop questioning - Albert Einstein
Without passion, you don't have energy; Without energy, you have nothing. Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion - Donald Trump
When the world says give up, Hope whispers try it one more time - unknown
Run when you can, walk when you can't, crawl if you must... Just NEVER give up - bear Grylls
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending - Maria Robinson

So my question today is who or what inspires you to get through those hard moments?? Cause I have a feeling I have more than a few to get through in this next chapter in my life.

Today Is The Day!!
I FINALLY get to spend some time with my sister!!!
She's been home for nearly three weeks and they are flying home on Saturday. I understand why I'm in the visiting slot I am. I'm one of the very few people they know in the city and its where they fly in and out of so why put my visit time in the middle of the trip when I can soak up the tail end of it.
So after work I'm gonna meet up with them and head out to our Uncle's place for a quick visit and then home to be a happy girl LOL
On another note, I was out last night with the BF and another couple for supper and a movie. First off we went to BP's where it cost us 60 bucks for 4 individual pizza's, little crazy if you ask me.. and it took like an hour to be served... sad times. SO because of the amount of time we sepnt at dinner, we get to the theatre at 945 when the movie is set to begin at 950... HOWEVER its cheap night and all the movies are sold out except for Step Up 3D and Charlie St. Cloud.
Now I dunno if you've seen the previews for either of these movies, but I'm not getting BF to sit through either of them. Maybe if I was sick and I whined A LOT... and even then its only a maybe....
Defeated we left and came back to my place where we all watched The Italian Job... Have I every told you how much I love that movie... Mini Coopers are probably the most amazing little car ever! They are just so cute and swift and holy kamoly talk about pep in a little car! I can't wait to own one!!
Overall it was a good night with some great friends and some good laughs.

Clean cars and Rosy Cheeks
What a good day I had today.
Woke up from a really strange dream. I was with a former co-worker and we were on a scavenger hunt through Bay Roberts looking for mini cakes with the Toronto Maple Leafs logo on them. I don't even like the leafs. LOL
I then went for breaky with the BF at the Irving and it was delicious! I had an omelet and it was so good and our waitress was like a professional waitress. Her name was Darlene, had the blond bouffant hairdo and after everything was a my darlin or my sweetie. She was like the quidessintal waitress... The model of which all other waitresses are based on.... She got a good tip.

We then went to BF's house to wash our cars. It was such a nice day outside and my car really really needed to be done. so we get all geared up and start scrubbin. Well BF Scrubbed, I rinsed... and maybe got in a few sprays in his direction hehehe
After Holly(the hatchback) and Mitzi (the Mazda) was all
scrubbed down we found a few spots on Holly where the paint has been chipped. Probably from rocks being kicked up in front of me cause I swear i haven't hit anything LOL we picked up a can of white rust paint and tried it on a spot that's not very noticeable so we'll see how that goes. If its not good enough I'll stop by a dealership and see if they have some paint touch up sticks.
After the cars were all scrubbed we went for a quick walk around Mundy Pond and then back to my house to relax for a bit. Supper was calling our names so we went back to the BF's house were I met his aunt and uncle and we had a wonderful BBQ, my first one of the summer!! we ate outside on the deck and had a great time. After I had left BF called me to tell me he overheard his mom and aunt talking about how lovely I seemed. That totally made my day. Its so important to me that his friends and family like me for some silly reason and it makes me happy to know I'm leaving a good impression.
SO needless to say that a
pasty white girl spending all that time outside was a little sun kissed. I don't mind tho means I wont be so white in any pics when my sis comes to stay with me this week.
